Mary Jane's Open House

Man, a whole summer went by and not a single blog. I'm horrible. But now it's the end of the year again and there will be MUCH to blog about!
Mary Jane started preschool this past September and boy does she LOVE IT! She is the youngest in the school so the other kids try to baby her but she won't have it. Miss Independent likes to carry her own lunch bag and put it away, sets up her own art area (by this i mean she gets out her own glue, markers, crayons, and supplies and just creates things with no direction), and slides down slides with no help. When children are sad and miss their mommies, she get's them a tissue and tells them "okay...okay". She acts like she's been going to school her whole life (all 2 years :P).


Funny story about this faceless kid in the red jacket. His uncle was my dad's classmate in UP! Small world huh?


The title should read "my hand is this little".

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I could never get this blogger right. I uploaded pictures and they all loaded in a different order than i wanted.... whatever. Anyway, Happy St. Patty's Day! or almost St. Patty's Day. I never cared much for this holiday (is it a holiday?), i don't ever wear green on the day either. I'm not anti or anything, i just don't know when the day comes. This year, however, is different cause Mar had this school project where she has to make a Leprechaun Catcher. She did all the decorating, glittering, coloring, cutting, and gluing, but i'm the one who pretty much put the main parts together.

So pretty much how this works is that the Leprechaun thinks this is the end of the rainbow and goes through the little walk way to get his pot of gold. When the Leprechaun grabs the pot it will trigger the trap and the basket will fall on top of the little sucker.

MARY JAY-HAYN!

I feel bad. I totally get the whole middle child thing now. It's not that i don't do things with Mary, it's just that she tends be overlooked once in a while. So, i'm dedicating this post all to her!
Even though she's one of the cutest things ever.... she doesn't photog well. It's the weirdest thing cause i swear she's smiling perfectly, and then her pictures always come out like this..

and they usually come out like this even if i don't use a flash.

I think it's best to watch her in action anyway!

I'm not sure if i blogged about this before, but she's been going to My Gym to let out her energy about twice a week. This place is absolute heaven to her. She's really use to the whole routine now, which isn't much... just circle time in the beginning, free play, and then story time and the goodbye song at the end. But, for the life of her, she could not sit still at first.. especially with all these things just screaming for her to climb on.

What i love too is that the set up is different every time. When we step into the play area, she stands there for 2 seconds to kinda take in the scene. Then she's non-stop from there.

Now this last clip is of her just having tea by herself. She didn't know i was filming her. Nothing spectacular about this, but i totally marvel at the fact that she CAN actually play by herself. #1 has trouble in that department.

Perce bag's birthday!

I love birthdays! Especially when they involve drinking, singing, and family. This blogger needs a better way to upload pictures. I tried to upload these in order so that you'd be able to see how we got progressivly drunk.. but it uploaded them backwards. So take a look at -

Perci's red face. He didn't start the night out that way. Conversation with Perci were hilarious that night! For example....

Perci: (talking to Armi and Johnny in a slur) Why are you guys leaving?

Johnny: I have work early in the morning.

Perci: Man! Fuck Amtrak!

The funny part, for those who don't know, Johnny works for Caltrans.

So anyway, new years has passed, Perci's birthday has passed, Manny's birthday is coming up, then Chamina's, and then Valentine's Day. Time is moving too fast! Moses already rolls from his tummy onto his back.
